As an SRE DevOps Consultant at Deloitte Consulting, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality work products within due timelines. You will mentor junior team members and liaise with onshore/offshore teams to understand functional requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design SRE architecture considering high availability, DR environments, deployment strategies, auto-scaling, and load/traffic management

- Scale distributed systems in public, private, or hybrid cloud environments

- Manage Cloud Services, Monitoring, Alerting, and Handle Escalations

- Implement Container Orchestration with Kubernetes, Helm Charts, and Docker

- Apply SRE principles including error budgets, SLOs, and SLAs

- Handle incident, change, and problem management processes

- Detect and resolve application-level incidents (crashes, slow response times)

- Collaborate with development teams to address defects and improve code quality

- Automate repetitive tasks (toil) related to application operations

- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for application failures

- Implement and test new releases to ensure stability and reliability

- Build and operate large-scale observability platforms (ELK, Prometheus)

- Lead and manage day-to-day operations of business applications and platforms

- Work with streaming data infrastructure services like Kafka and Spark

Requirements*

Required Skills:

- Minimum 4+ years of experience in SRE, Cloud platforms, or DevOps with large-scale microservices in production environments

- Hands-on experience with scaling distributed systems in public, private, or hybrid cloud environments

- Experience with automated configuration tools like Ansible and Terraform

- Strong expertise in Container Orchestration including Kubernetes, Helm Charts, and Docker

- Strong understanding of SRE principles (error budgets, SLOs, SLAs)

- Proficiency in incident, change, and problem management processes

- Proficiency in one programming language: Python, Go, Perl, or Ruby

- Expertise in building and operating large-scale observability platforms (ELK, Prometheus)

Preferred Skills:

- Experience designing and building reliable systems capable of handling high throughput and low latency

- Experience with observability and monitoring systems (Dynatrace, Kibana, Datadog)

- Experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or other cloud environments

- Familiarity with working in rapid growth environments

Education:

BE/B.Tech/M.C.A./M.Sc (CS) degree or equivalent from accredited university
