NTT DATA is hiring an Associate DevOps Engineer in Bangalore, Karnataka, for an entry-level opportunity within its Digital Design and Development team. The position follows a hybrid working model and is designed for candidates beginning their career in DevOps, software development, platform engineering, application deployment, automation, and cloud technologies.

The Associate DevOps Engineer works under general supervision and supports internal clients with less complex software technology environments. The role involves translating business requirements into technology solutions, supporting software design and development, assisting with application deployment, maintaining production implementations, and contributing to CI/CD and DevOps automation.

About the Role

As an Associate DevOps Engineer, you will work with Platform Specialists and technology teams to understand business and user requirements and help translate them into technical solutions.

You will gain practical exposure to the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, technical documentation, application development, testing, deployment, release management, production support, and continuous improvement.

The role is suitable for candidates who have entry-level experience in software development and support and want to develop their skills in DevOps engineering, CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms, automation, source code management, and platform engineering.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements & Solution Design

- Work closely with Platform Specialists to understand detailed business and user requirements.

- Support the analysis of business requirements and help ensure proposed solutions meet those requirements.

- Assist in translating requirements into detailed systems design documentation.

- Support the preparation of technical requirements documents, including systems and flowcharts.

- Assist with developing technical specifications for developers and IT programmers.

- Help understand how applications, infrastructure, databases, operating systems, and storage components work together.

Software Development & Documentation

- Support the development of software solutions based on defined requirements.

- Assist with designing, testing, implementing, and maintaining software code.

- Help document development procedures, application usage, and security processes.

- Review program errors involving logic and data.

- Recommend corrective actions or escalate technical issues when required.

- Contribute to maintaining accurate technical and operational documentation.

CI/CD & DevOps Automation

- Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

- Assist in automating software build, testing, and deployment processes.

- Gain practical experience with DevOps automation tools.

- Support deployment and release management across different environments.

- Work with source code repositories and software development workflows.

Application Deployment & Production Support
