Job Overview

Zoniqx is hiring a DevOps Engineer (Backend) to join its Hybrid engineering team in Hyderabad. This role is ideal for engineers with at least 6 months of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, backend development, or software engineering who want to work across both infrastructure and backend technologies.

You will design, automate, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure, build Infrastructure as Code (IaC), develop CI/CD pipelines, containerize backend applications, automate operational tasks, and collaborate with backend developers to build scalable and secure cloud-native applications.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Infrastructure Management

- Build, manage, and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure.

- Configure and maintain AWS services including EC2, VPC, ELB, WAF, Route53, IAM, and ECS.

- Improve cloud scalability, reliability, security, and performance.

- Optimize cloud resources for cost efficiency and operational excellence.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

- Design and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.

- Automate cloud provisioning and infrastructure deployments.

- Maintain reusable and version-controlled infrastructure templates.

Containerization & Deployment

- Containerize backend applications using Docker.

- Deploy and maintain containerized workloads.

- Support scalable cloud-native application deployments.

CI/CD & Automation

- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.

- Automate application builds, testing, deployments, and releases.

- Write automation scripts using Python and Shell scripting.

- Improve deployment speed and software delivery efficiency.

Backend Engineering

- Collaborate with developers on backend applications.

- Contribute to backend development using Python, Node.js, or Golang.

- Support RESTful APIs and backend service deployments.

- Manage source code using Git version control.

Networking & Security

- Configure VPC networking and cloud security best practices.

- Manage IAM roles, permissions, and secure cloud access.

- Strengthen cloud infrastructure security and reliability.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

- Minimum 6 months of hands-on experience in DevOps, Backend Development, Cloud Infrastructure, or Software Engineering.

- Strong understanding of AWS cloud services.

- Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.

- Hands-on experience with Docker containerization.

- Experience building CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.

- Knowledge of Python and Shell scripting.

- Experience using Git version control.

- Basic backend development experience using Python, Node.js, or Golang.

- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
