Key Responsibilities

- Analyze, design, and maintain software systems and products.

- Integrate software with hardware to ensure throughput and consistency.

- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines with the DevOps team.

- Automate and manage Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure including GCS buckets, VPC, Ephemeral VMs, and auto-scaling.

- Build and maintain Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) infrastructure to prevent performance risks.

- Automate deployments and rollbacks in production environments.

- Manage and troubleshoot data ingestion pipelines.

- Apply cloud security best practices in deployments.

- Administer multiple Big Data applications (MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, Solr, PostgreSQL, MariaDB).

- Work on container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

- Collaborate within an Agile/Scrum team for short release cycles.

- Support and maintain monitoring tools, custom alerting, and log analysis.

- Conduct performance testing for system scalability and reliability.

- Research, implement, and maintain new tools and technologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Strong background in Linux/Unix administration and cloud infrastructure.

- Proficiency in Bash, Python, and automation scripting.

- Hands-on experience with GCP APIs/CLIs and cloud services.

- Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, IPSec) and security best practices.

- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, CloudBees, Gerrit, Artifactory).

- Familiarity with configuration management tools (Chef, Puppet, or equivalent).

- Understanding of source control systems (Git preferred).

- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

- Experience working in Agile/DevOps environments.
