YASH is seeking motivated and technically skilled professionals to join as Associate Consultant – Linux. This role is ideal for candidates with strong Linux administration, AWS cloud, VMware virtualization, monitoring, troubleshooting, and infrastructure support experience.
Role Overview
As an Associate Consultant – Linux, you will be responsible for managing Linux infrastructure, supporting VMware virtual environments, monitoring cloud workloads, troubleshooting operating system issues, and maintaining business-critical enterprise environments.
You will work closely with cloud engineers, infrastructure teams, security professionals, and application support teams to ensure system availability, performance, reliability, and operational excellence.
This role provides excellent exposure to Cloud Operations, Linux Engineering, Infrastructure Management, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Platform Engineering, Cloud Security, VMware Administration, and Enterprise IT Operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Provision and configure Linux servers across enterprise environments
• Deploy and manage VMware virtual machines and virtual infrastructure
• Monitor Linux systems, VMware environments, and AWS resources
• Configure and manage AWS CloudWatch dashboards, alarms, and monitoring services
• Perform system health checks and daily operational reviews
• Troubleshoot Linux OS alerts, CPU utilization issues, memory bottlenecks, and disk space problems
• Execute Linux patch management and security updates
• Maintain VMware templates and virtual machine lifecycle management
• Support AWS infrastructure including EC2, S3, IAM, and VPC services
• Assist in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) deployments using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation
• Support automation initiatives using Bash and Python scripting
• Manage backup processes, snapshots, disaster recovery, and system restoration procedures
• Collaborate with cloud, networking, database, and security teams
• Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, operational runbooks, and knowledge base articles
• Participate in 24x7 rotational support and incident response activities

• 1–3 years of Linux Administration or Infrastructure Support experience
• Practical experience in Technical Support or System Administration
• Strong understanding of Linux operating systems
• Experience with VMware virtualization platforms
• Knowledge of AWS cloud services
• Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
• Ability to work in rotational shifts and office-based environment
Preferred Qualifications
• Exposure to Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
• Familiarity with Ansible automation
• Experience with Bash or Python scripting
• Understanding of Cloud Security best practices
• Knowledge of ITIL processes
