Internship Overview – Cloud Solutions Summer Program 2026

Verizon’s award-winning Campus Internship Program has been ranked among Top 100 Internship Programs in the USA.

As a Cloud Solutions Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in cloud architecture, DevOps, networking, and 5G technologies. This program offers exposure to real-world projects, networking opportunities with Verizon leaders, and structured mentorship designed to prepare you for a career in cloud computing and IT engineering.

This 10-week paid internship (June–August 2026) offers relocation support, hybrid flexibility, and professional development sessions including Verizon’s Intern Marquee Event.

Key Learning Areas & Projects

During the internship, you may work on projects across:

- 5G Technology and advanced telecom solutions

- Cloud Architecture: Kubernetes, OpenStack, Openshift, Wind River

- Cloud Computing: AWS, Azure, GCP – deploying and operating public cloud services

- DevOps & Automation: CI/CD, containers, Linux systems

- Networking: NFV/SDN, VPNs, storage area networks, orchestration

- Data Engineering: JSON, YAML, SQL databases

- Software Development: Python, Java, GitHub version control

- AR/VR & Computer Vision applications

Eligibility Criteria

- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:

- Information Systems

- Information Technology

- Computer Science

- Electrical Engineering

- Data Science or related majors

- Graduation timeline between December 2028 – June 2029

- Must be authorized to work in the United States without restrictions

- Available to work full-time, 40 hours/week, during June–August 2026

- Willing to relocate and travel if required

Preferred Skills (Bonus)

- Engineering background with coursework in Cloud Computing, DevOps, or Software Engineering

- Experience with Python, Java, or scripting languages

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, RedHat OpenStack, Openshift

- Knowledge of Kafka, Spark, Flink, or event-driven design
