Role Summary

WalkingTree Technologies is hiring a Trainee QA Engineer (Fresher) with strong manual testing skills and basic exposure to automation testing. This role is ideal for candidates who are detail-oriented, quality-focused, and eager to build a long-term career in software testing and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities

Manual Testing

- Perform manual testing of web applications to ensure functionality and quality

- Validate application behavior against business and functional requirements

- Execute functional testing, regression testing, and sanity testing

Test Design & Execution

- Create, review, and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test plans

- Apply test case design techniques for effective test coverage

Defect Management

- Identify, log, track, and retest defects using bug/defect tracking tools

- Work closely with developers to verify fixes and close defects

Collaboration & QA Process

- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA teams

- Ensure adherence to QA processes, standards, and best practices

Automation Support

- Assist in basic automation testing activities

- Support Selenium script execution under guidance

Required Skills

- Strong understanding of Manual Testing concepts

- Knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle)

- Knowledge of STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle)

- Basic understanding of Automation Testing concepts

- Familiarity with Selenium or similar automation tools

- Good analytical and problem-solving skills

- Clear communication and teamwork abilities

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

- Exposure to Selenium, TestNG, or other automation frameworks

- Basic knowledge of SQL or API Testing

- Internship or academic project experience in QA / Software Testing
