Job Description

WSP India is hiring a Trainee Engineer – Vertical Transportation to support the VT engineering team in delivering high-quality design, analysis, documentation, and coordination for elevators, escalators, and vertical mobility systems. This role offers strong exposure to building services engineering, CAD design, Revit modeling, and global infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Technical Support

- Assist in reviewing architectural and building layouts

- Support traffic analysis and elevator selection calculations

- Assist in preparing 2D AutoCAD drawings and 3D model inputs

Documentation & Submittals

- Prepare technical specifications, reports, and submission packages

- Maintain project documentation, markups, and revision control

Coordination Activities

- Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and suppliers

- Attend project meetings and document action items

Quality & Process Engagement

- Ensure adherence to WSP quality standards and processes

- Support issue tracking and corrective action implementation

Educational Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree in:

- Electrical Engineering

- Mechanical Engineering

- Mechatronics

- Electronics Engineering

---

Required Skills

- Strong verbal and written communication skills

- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD

- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

- Familiarity with Revit

- Interest in Vertical Transportation Systems (Elevators & Escalators)
