Job Summary

Tarento is hiring a Junior DevOps Engineer with strong hands-on experience in AWS Cloud, CI/CD, and secure deployments.

This role is production-focused, involving deployment management, incident handling, system reliability, and DevSecOps practices to ensure secure, scalable, and highly available cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud & Deployment

- Manage and optimize deployments across AWS EKS, ECS, and EC2

- Handle production operations, incident management, and RCA (Root Cause Analysis)

- Work with serverless (Lambda) and AWS services like S3, SNS, SES

CI/CD & DevSecOps

- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline)

- Implement secure deployment practices using tools like Snyk, Trivy, SonarQube

- Ensure compliance and vulnerability management

Monitoring & Observability

- Implement monitoring using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK

- Create alerts and dashboards for proactive issue detection

Networking & Security

- Configure AWS networking: VPC, subnets, route tables, NAT, ALB/NLB, CloudFront, API Gateway, WAF

- Enforce IAM best practices and least-privilege access

- Apply Zero Trust and secure architecture principles

Collaboration & Optimization

- Work closely with Dev & QA teams to improve performance and reliability

- Promote SRE and “Security by Design” practices

Technical Skills Required

- Strong hands-on experience with AWS production environments

- Containerization: Docker

- Orchestration: Kubernetes / ECS

- CI/CD: Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline

- Networking: DNS, routing, SSL/TLS, load balancing

- Monitoring: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch

- Scripting: Bash, Python, YAML, JSON

Good to Have

- Certifications: AWS DevOps Engineer, CKA/CKAD, AWS SysOps

- Experience with Terraform / CloudFormation

- Service Mesh: Istio / App Mesh

- Security tools: Falco, Prisma Cloud, Aqua

- Knowledge of AWS GuardDuty, Security Hub

- Exposure to incident automation and resilience engineering

- BE / BTech in Computer Science, IT, or related field
