Role Overview

As a DevOps Engineer Intern, you will work alongside experienced cloud and DevOps professionals to support infrastructure operations, automate deployment processes, improve application reliability, and assist in managing cloud-native environments.

You will gain exposure to real-world enterprise projects involving AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Linux administration, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Cloud Security, and Monitoring Solutions.

This role is ideal for candidates looking to establish a strong foundation in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Cloud Operations, and Infrastructure Automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in managing and monitoring cloud infrastructure across AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

• Support CI/CD pipeline creation, maintenance, and optimization using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, and GitLab CI/CD

• Collaborate with development teams to automate build, test, deployment, and release processes

• Monitor application performance, infrastructure health, and cloud resources

• Assist in provisioning cloud resources using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible

• Work with Linux and Unix-based operating systems for server administration and troubleshooting

• Configure and manage cloud networking components including VPCs, Subnets, Security Groups, Load Balancers, DNS, Firewalls, and Routing

• Support Docker containerization and Kubernetes orchestration environments

• Assist in incident management, root cause analysis, and production troubleshooting

• Help implement cloud security best practices, IAM policies, RBAC controls, and compliance standards

• Participate in backup management, disaster recovery planning, and business continuity processes

• Contribute to monitoring and observability initiatives using CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK Stack, Azure Monitor, and related tools

• Create and maintain technical documentation, deployment runbooks, and operational procedures

• Learn FinOps principles to optimize cloud resource utilization and cost management

Required Qualifications

• B.Tech, B.E., BCA, MCA, Diploma, or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, or related field

• 0–1 year of experience or relevant internship/project experience

• Basic understanding of Linux/Unix Operating Systems

• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

• Understanding of Networking Fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, HTTPS, VPN, Firewalls, and Load Balancers

• Knowledge of Git and Version Control Systems

• Understanding of CI/CD concepts and DevOps methodologies

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

• Good verbal and written communication skills

• Passion for Cloud Technologies, Automation, and Infrastructure Engineering

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes

• Familiarity with Terraform, Ansible, or Infrastructure as Code concepts

• Basic scripting knowledge in Python, Bash, Shell, or PowerShell

• Understanding of Monitoring and Logging solutions

• Exposure to Cloud Security best practices

• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies

• Cloud certifications such as AWS Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900), Google Cloud Digital Leader, or similar certifications
