Solera is Hiring Cloud DevOps Site Reliability Engineer

Solera is hiring a Cloud DevOps Site Reliability Engineer in Bangalore, India to support the definition, development, deployment, and operation of highly available applications across AWS cloud and on-premises environments.

This role is ideal for a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering professional with 2+ years of experience in CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, Docker, scripting, automation, and 24x7 SaaS/PaaS operations.

About the Role

The Cloud DevOps Site Reliability Engineer will work closely with Development, QA, and Operations teams to build reliable deployment platforms, automate manual processes, improve operational efficiency, and support highly available distributed applications.

The role has strong ownership of CI/CD pipelines, AWS infrastructure, DevOps automation, infrastructure as code, security, monitoring, troubleshooting, and production operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Transition legacy and manual deployment processes to a fully automated DevOps-ready environment.

- Own and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting deployment and operations across on-premises infrastructure and AWS.

- Create and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines across Development, QA, and Production environments.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to increase organizational throughput through automation and flexible processes.

- Design and implement reliable continuous deployment solutions to improve availability and uptime.

- Optimize infrastructure resource utilization and operational costs across cloud and on-premises environments.

- Support capacity planning and infrastructure resource optimization.

- Balance long-term engineering initiatives with rapidly changing operational requirements.

- Enforce security policies by tracking vulnerabilities and ensuring timely remediation.

- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues across application and infrastructure environments.

- Support Development and QA teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

- Maintain development, testing, and production environments and supporting tools.

- Create and maintain technical documentation, product documentation, and training materials.

- Participate in 24x7x365 on-call rotations as required.

Minimum Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Science, or an equivalent discipline.

- Master's degree is highly desirable.

- 2+ years of experience driving CI/CD for systems deployed to cloud providers.

- Strong AWS experience, including AWS service setup and operations, is highly desirable.

- 2+ years of experience in a 24x7x365 global SaaS/PaaS environment.

- 2+ years of experience with virtualization and Docker containers.

- Proficiency with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, Python, Batch, or equivalent technologies.

- Experience with a broad range of the technologies in Solera's CI/CD and infrastructure stack.

- Strong sense of ownership and urgency.

- Ability to help and support engineering teams and individuals.
