Role Overview

As a Junior Software Developer – AI/ML, you will contribute to cutting-edge Generative AI, NLP, and LLM-based solutions that drive Siemens’ vision for digital transformation.

This role offers exposure to enterprise AI/ML projects, advanced large language models (LLMs), cloud-based AI services, and real-world industrial applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and optimize NLP-driven AI solutions (NER, embeddings, summarization, etc.).

- Build and productionize RAG pipelines & agent-based workflows.

- Fine-tune, prompt-engineer, and deploy LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Falcon, LLaMA, etc.).

- Collaborate with data scientists, backend developers, and cloud architects for scalable AI-first systems.

- Evaluate and integrate third-party APIs, ML frameworks, and open-source AI libraries.

- Implement observability, monitoring, and explainability features for production ML models.

- Ensure compliance with enterprise-level security, reliability, and maintainability standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor’s / Master’s in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or related fields.

- Hands-on knowledge in NLP & Generative AI.

- Understanding of LLM architectures, embeddings, LoRA, PEFT fine-tuning.

- Experience with Python, LangChain, Hugging Face Transformers, LlamaIndex, Smol Agents.

- Familiarity with RAG pipelines, LangGraph, multi-step agent workflows.

- Exposure to cloud AI services (AWS SageMaker, AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, Azure ML Studio).

- Knowledge of observability tools (TruEra, Arize, WhyLabs).

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

- Experience with real-time NLP (streaming, latency optimization, multi-turn dialogues).

- Familiarity with function calling, orchestration, and AI pipelines.

- Knowledge of Terraform/CDK and DevOps for AI/ML environments.

- Domain knowledge in Electrification, Energy, or Industrial AI.
