Job Summary

As a Software Test & Release Engineer, you’ll work under close guidance, contributing to the design, development, testing, bug-fixing, documentation, and support of telecommunication and networking systems. The role focuses on protocol testing, system integration, and automation, with exposure to 2G/3G/4G/5G technologies.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Design, code, test, fix bugs, and create documentation for assigned modules

- Ensure timely delivery while maintaining productivity and quality benchmarks

- Participate in internal reviews, status reporting, and organizational process adherence

- Engage in continuous learning through training, self-study, and technical assessments

Key Skills & Technical Requirements

Protocol Testing Knowledge:

- 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G Modem/UE Protocol Stack Testing

- Interoperability testing with network vendors (Ericsson, Nokia, Alcatel Lucent)

- Understanding network scenarios, signaling, user plane flows, and call flows

- Experience developing test plans, executing test cases, and using automation frameworks

- Strong knowledge of 3GPP RAT, Layer 2/3 protocols, NAS, RAN, and Core Network

Tools & Technologies:

- Test Tools: QXDM, QCAT, QPST, Anritsu, Keysight, Prism

- Scripting & Automation: Python, Perl, Shell Scripts, TTCN, TCL

- Programming Languages: C, C++

- Testing Platforms: Linux (internal & customer-specific)

- VSAT / SATCOM

- Automation with RTD or similar scripting

- Trace/log collection & core dump analysis tools

- Hands-on experience in flashing tools & debugging environments
