ROLE OVERVIEW

The Software Engineer – Graduate Program (IMPACT) at S&P Global is a structured 18-month early careers program designed for fresh graduates who want to build a strong foundation in modern software engineering and data-driven technologies. The program includes three 6-month rotations across multiple technology domains, offering hands-on project exposure, mentorship, and real-world problem solving in enterprise-grade systems.

PROGRAM STRUCTURE

• Duration: 18 Months (3 × 6-month rotations)

• Specialization Areas:

– Full Stack Development

– Data Science & AI/ML

– Data Engineering & Data Virtualization

– Cloud Engineering

– DevOps & Automation

– Test Automation & Infrastructure

– Agile Project Management

– Product Development

Graduates specialize in 3–4 areas during the program and are placed into a permanent role after successful completion.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, test, and deliver scalable software solutions

• Convert business and change requests into technical designs

• Enhance existing platforms and build new product capabilities

• Ensure performance, reliability, and resilience of applications

• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and agile ceremonies

• Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams

• Support production deployments and continuous improvements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field (2026 pass-out only)

• Strong understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms

• Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming concepts

• Familiarity with databases and SQL

• Basic knowledge of clean code, design patterns, and unit testing

• Good communication and time management skills

• Willingness to work in 24×5 rotational shifts if required
