Role Description

The Cloud Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing Azure-based cloud infrastructure while ensuring security, reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency. The role involves close collaboration with development teams, automation of operational processes, and continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure

- Perform system monitoring, verify availability, and troubleshoot cloud resource issues

- Automate and streamline operations using DevOps tools and methodologies

- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins

- Collaborate with development teams to support continuous integration and continuous delivery

- Optimize performance, utilization, and cloud costs in Azure

- Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive corrective actions

- Ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and best practices

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Familiarity with Azure cloud services including compute, storage, networking, and security

- Knowledge of scripting and automation using:

- PowerShell

- Shell scripting

- Crons

- Azure CLI

- ARM Templates

- Terraform

- Ansible

- Strong understanding of DevOps practices, including:

- CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins)

- Version control systems (Git)

- Configuration management

- Familiarity with network analysis tools such as Wireshark

- Knowledge of security tools like Vault

- Python programming skills are a plus

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
