About the Role

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join the Infrastructure and DevOps Engineering team in Bangalore. This role provides an opportunity to work on large-scale, highly available infrastructure supporting millions of users.

You will help design, operate, automate, and continuously improve production and non-production infrastructure. You will work closely with Software Engineering teams to improve deployment automation, Kubernetes operations, infrastructure reliability, monitoring, security, and overall developer productivity.

Key Responsibilities

- Own and operate infrastructure across development, staging, and production environments.

- Manage and maintain self-hosted databases and middleware including MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, and Kafka.

- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting frequent production deployments.

- Build, operate, and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters supporting large-scale microservices.

- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Terraform and Ansible.

- Work with Chef or Puppet where required for configuration management.

- Develop automation scripts using Python or Go.

- Implement and improve observability using Prometheus and Grafana.

- Define and monitor SLOs and SLAs with a focus on high availability and reliability.

- Identify infrastructure bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, performance issues, and reliability risks.

- Troubleshoot production incidents and perform root cause analysis (RCA).

- Collaborate with Software Engineering teams working with Golang, Java, and Node.js.

- Improve deployment processes, release automation, infrastructure scalability, and operational efficiency.

- Support high-scale, event-driven microservices and distributed infrastructure.

- Follow DevOps, security, automation, and infrastructure-as-code best practices.

Required Qualifications

- 1–2 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, SRE, Cloud, or Infrastructure Engineering.

- Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems and system administration.

- Practical production experience with Kubernetes.

- Hands-on experience with Terraform and Ansible.

- Strong scripting and automation skills using Python or Go.

- Familiarity with self-managed databases or middleware such as:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
