Job Overview

As a Qualcomm Software Engineer, you will design, develop, integrate, test, and validate embedded and cloud-edge software solutions. The role focuses on modem software integration, RF, 5G/4G protocol testing, performance validation, and intelligent automation using Generative AI. You will collaborate closely with systems, hardware, architecture, and test teams to deliver high-quality, world-class products.

Responsibilities

- Integration and test execution for RF, 5G, and 4G protocols and performance.

- Analyze, report, and track software defects; coordinate with development teams for fixes and re-testing.

- Troubleshoot and reproduce customer-reported issues.

- Develop intelligent automation solutions using Python/Perl and Generative AI.

- Support InterRAT testing and protocol validation as per 3GPP standards.

Minimum Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

- Strong understanding of call processing as per 3GPP specifications for 5G and 4G devices.

- Good knowledge of Python and/or Perl for test automation.

Preferred Skills

- Strong background in AI/ML.

- Experience in 5G/4G protocol implementation and systems testing.

- Good understanding of 3GPP specifications.

- Exposure to test simulators and systems such as Keysight, Anite, R&S, Racal, or Anritsu.

- Experience in RF/5G/4G device testing environments.
