Role Details

Position: Cloud Software Engineer 1

Location: Fort Meade, Maryland, USA (Onsite Only)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Experience: 0 Years (or 4+ years without degree)

Salary Range: $112,000 – $179,000

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications

- Support deployment of enterprise cloud-based solutions

- Work within Agile teams to deliver scalable software systems

- Contribute to data platforms and large-scale analytics systems

- Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and enhancements

- Ensure systems are secure, reliable, and high-performing

Technical Skills Required

Programming & Development

- Experience with Java, Python, or C++

- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle

Cloud & DevOps

- Familiarity with AWS / Azure / GCP

- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

Containers & Infrastructure

- Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes

- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / Ansible)

Systems

- Experience working with Linux-based environments

Eligibility Criteria

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Engineering or related field

OR

- 4+ years of relevant experience without a degree

- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Polygraph (mandatory)

Preferred Certifications

- AWS Certified Developer – Associate

- AWS Solutions Architect – Associate

- AWS DevOps Engineer – Professional

- Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
