NEC Corporation India Hiring DevOps Engineer in Noida - OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker

NEC Corporation India Private Limited is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic DevOps Fresher to join their Cloud team. The candidate will assist in managing containerized applications using Red Hat OpenShift and support CI/CD, deployment automation, and cloud-native application environments.

Responsibilities

- Deploy and manage containerized applications on Red Hat OpenShift

- Work with Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift for container orchestration

- Perform Linux system administration tasks (user management, file permissions, package installation, service management)

- Troubleshoot application, container, and cluster-level issues

- Monitor system logs using tools like journalctl, top, ps, netstat, etc.

- Support CI/CD pipeline setup and maintenance (Jenkins/GitHub/GitLab)

- Assist in resolving deployment failures and environment-related issues

- Work with YAML files for Kubernetes/OpenShift resource configuration

- Maintain documentation and follow DevOps best practices

Required Skills

- Strong understanding of Linux fundamentals

- File system hierarchy

- User & group management

- File permissions & ownership

- Process management

- Package management (yum/dnf/apt)

- Basic shell scripting

- Basic knowledge of Docker and containerization

- Understanding of Kubernetes/OpenShift architecture

- Ability to perform basic troubleshooting

- Analysing logs

- Checking pod/container status

- Debugging deployment issues

- Network connectivity checks (ping, curl, telnet)

- Knowledge of Git

- Understanding of CI/CD concepts

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

- Knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift platform

- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)

- Understanding of YAML files and Openshift manifests

- Basic networking knowledge (DNS, Load Balancer, HTTP/HTTPS)

- RHCSA or Kubernetes certification (optional)

- Any online course for K8 or RHOCP will be added advantage

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field. Fresh graduates or candidates with internship experience can apply.
