Department Overview

The intern will be part of the IT Cloud Operations team, working closely with Development, QA, and IT teams to support cloud infrastructure, DevOps automation, and continuous delivery pipelines. This role offers hands-on exposure to cloud operations, infrastructure automation, and modern DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for multiple development projects

- Manage and support version control systems such as Git

- Work with containerization and orchestration tools including Docker and Kubernetes

- Monitor cloud and on-prem infrastructure using Nagios, Grafana, AWS CloudWatch

- Develop and maintain automation scripts to improve operational efficiency

- Support troubleshooting of build, deployment, and infrastructure issues

- Follow best practices in cloud security, system administration, and deployments

- Maintain system documentation and standard operating procedures

- Assist in evaluating new cloud technologies and DevOps tools

- Support management of virtual servers, databases, and cloud resources

Basic Requirements

- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field

- Understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies

- Basic Linux/Windows system administration and networking knowledge

- Exposure to scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl

- Familiarity with automation tools like Jenkins, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef (plus)

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
