Job Summary

micro1 is seeking a Junior AI Engineer to work on cutting-edge Generative AI (GenAI) applications. This role is ideal for engineers passionate about LLMs, RAG pipelines, APIs, and cloud-based AI systems. You will collaborate with experienced engineers to design, build, and deploy production-ready AI solutions while continuously expanding your technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop Generative AI applications such as:

- Question Answering Engines

- Entity Extraction Systems

- Text Summarization Pipelines

- Build and debug REST APIs using FastAPI or Flask

- Support RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) workflows:

- Data ingestion

- Embedding generation

- Prompt testing & optimization

- Work with Vector Databases like Pinecone, FAISS

- Experiment with LLMs (OpenAI, Mistral, etc.) and prompt templates

- Collaborate with product, backend, and AI teams

- Assist in cloud deployments on AWS or Azure

- Explore modern AI frameworks like LangChain & LangGraph

Required Skills

- Python – Strong proficiency in writing, testing, and debugging code

- API Development – Experience with FastAPI, Flask, or similar frameworks

- Generative AI Basics – LLMs, prompt engineering, simple RAG use cases

- Cloud Platforms – Familiarity with AWS or Azure

- Version Control – Git fundamentals and collaborative workflows

Good-to-Have Skills

- Hands-on experience with LangChain or LangGraph

- Knowledge of embeddings and vector databases

- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines

- Containerization basics using Docker
