Role Overview

As a Junior DevOps Engineer, you will assist in building, managing, monitoring, and automating cloud infrastructure while supporting software deployment pipelines and operational excellence initiatives. You will collaborate with development, QA, security, and operations teams to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable software delivery.

This role offers hands-on experience with cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, monitoring, and cloud security best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in managing cloud infrastructure across AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

• Support CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, and Azure DevOps

• Monitor infrastructure, applications, and cloud services to ensure high availability and reliability

• Participate in deployment planning, release management, and automation initiatives

• Assist in provisioning cloud resources using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible

• Work with Docker containers and Kubernetes orchestration environments

• Troubleshoot Linux servers, cloud environments, and deployment-related issues

• Configure networking components including VPCs, DNS, Load Balancers, Security Groups, Routing Tables, and Firewalls

• Support monitoring and observability using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, CloudWatch, and Azure Monitor

• Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment speed and operational efficiency

• Assist in cloud cost optimization (FinOps) initiatives

• Maintain technical documentation, deployment guides, SOPs, and infrastructure runbooks

• Follow DevSecOps and cloud security best practices

• Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes

Required Qualifications

• B.E, B.Tech, MCA, M.Sc, or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Cloud Computing, or related field

• 0–2 years of experience or relevant internship/project experience

• Strong understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems

• Basic knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP

• Understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, HTTPS, VPN, Firewalls, and Load Balancers

• Familiarity with Git and version control systems

• Understanding of DevOps concepts and CI/CD methodologies

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

• Good communication and collaboration abilities

• Passion for cloud technologies, automation, and infrastructure engineering

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes

• Familiarity with Terraform or Infrastructure as Code concepts

• Basic scripting experience using Python, Bash, or Shell scripting

• Understanding of monitoring and logging tools

• Knowledge of cloud security fundamentals

• AWS, Azure, or GCP certifications are an added advantage

• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies
