
LiveRamp is Hiring Fresher Co-Op, DevOps Engineer
LiveRamp is seeking a Co-Op DevOps Engineer to join its infrastructure and database engineering organization. This is an excellent DevOps Co-Op opportunity for an early-career engineer interested in cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, observability, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Linux, and production systems.
In this role, you will work on infrastructure tools and platforms that support LiveRamp's core data and onboarding services. You will gain hands-on experience building and operating Kubernetes clusters, networks, databases, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD systems, monitoring platforms, and automated infrastructure provisioning.
LiveRamp provides the same orientation training as its full-time engineers, assigns individual mentorship, and gives Co-Op engineers the opportunity to contribute production code and work on mission-critical projects.
Co-op assignments range from 12 to 24 weeks, with the potential for consideration for a full-time opportunity following graduation.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy infrastructure tools including Kubernetes clusters, networks, databases, and cloud infrastructure.
- Develop and improve operational tooling for observability, monitoring, metrics, logs, traces, incident detection, and automated remediation.
- Help reduce Mean Time to Recovery (MTTR) and improve production system resilience.
- Maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines and deployment tooling.
- Develop and maintain Terraform scripts and Infrastructure as Code solutions.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning to enable repeatable and self-service environment creation.
- Collaborate with application engineering, security, SRE, platform, and technical teams.
- Support reliable and secure database infrastructure.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for database and infrastructure operations.
- Help triage and resolve production incidents, tickets, and infrastructure issues.
- Contribute to systems that meet defined availability, performance, reliability, and data quality SLAs.
- Promote DevOps best practices and help engineering teams adopt standardized platform capabilities and automation patterns.
- Create operational runbooks, technical documentation, architecture documentation, and support procedures.
- Evaluate emerging infrastructure and data technologies.
- Build proofs of concept (POCs) for new infrastructure tools and technologies.
- Contribute to technical roadmaps, solution evaluations, and system design documents.
- Help modernize infrastructure through initiatives involving container orchestration, secrets management, cloud optimization, and platform engineering.
Your Team
The DevOps and infrastructure team builds and operates database infrastructure, tooling, and platforms powering LiveRamp's core data and onboarding services.
The team focuses on:

- Complex infrastructure troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
- Container orchestration and platform modernization.
- Cloud resource cost optimization.
- Infrastructure supporting large-scale databases, analytics, and AI/ML workloads.
- Secure and cost-efficient environments for product and data teams.
Required Qualifications
- Interest or experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), infrastructure engineering, or production operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Interest or experience with at least one major cloud platform such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft Azure.
- Understanding of cloud networking, security, and managed cloud services.
- Proficiency or hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Interest or experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar technologies.
- Background in Linux systems, containers, and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or ECS.
- Understanding of observability concepts including metrics, logs, traces, monitoring, and alerting.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language used for automation, such as Python, Go, or Bash.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineering teams.
- Ability to participate in an on-call rotation and contribute to incident response in production environments.
- Interest or experience building infrastructure POCs for emerging tools and technologies.
Preferred Skills
- Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Experience with programming languages and software development concepts.
- Experience with Linux operating systems.
- Experience with deployment and monitoring tools.
- Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or comparable cloud platforms.
- Experience with Git or another version control system.
- Understanding of database infrastructure and cloud-based database platforms.
- Interest in Kubernetes, cloud-native architecture, platform engineering, and SRE practices.
