Role Details

Position: Junior Azure Platform Engineer (Associate Consultant)

Location: Bangalore, Karnataka

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Job Summary

This role focuses on Azure cloud platform operations, security, and governance. You will work with senior engineers to support cloud infrastructure, security monitoring, and automation, while building expertise in cloud security and platform engineering.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Platform Support

- Assist in maintaining Azure infrastructure and security configurations

- Work with Azure Firewall, NSGs, VNETs, Private Endpoints

- Support platform hardening and secure-by-design practices

Security Monitoring & Incident Support

- Monitor alerts using Defender for Cloud and Azure Sentinel

- Support incident investigation and response

- Improve dashboards and detection rules

Identity & Access Management

- Work with Azure RBAC and Privileged Identity Management (PIM)

- Support access reviews and identity audits

- Enforce MFA and Conditional Access policies

Governance & Compliance

- Apply Azure Policies and tagging standards

- Support compliance with frameworks like CIS and ISO 27001

- Maintain documentation and audit evidence

Automation & Scripting

- Assist with automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI, Terraform, or Bicep

Technical Skills Required

Cloud & Security

- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Azure (VNETs, Resource Groups, RBAC)

- Understanding of security principles (least privilege, encryption, network security)

Monitoring & Tools

- Exposure to Azure Defender, Sentinel, Key Vault

Scripting & Automation

- Basic scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, Azure CLI)

Eligibility Criteria

- 1–2 years of experience in IT, cloud, or cybersecurity

- Strong foundational knowledge or relevant training/bootcamp

- Interest in cloud security and platform engineering

Preferred Certifications

- AZ-900: Azure Fundamentals

- SC-900: Security, Compliance & Identity Fundamentals

- AZ-104: Azure Administrator (in progress)

- AZ-500: Azure Security Engineer (aspirational)
