About the Role

As a Graduate Engineer Trainee – Customer Solutions Engineering (CSE) at KONE, you will be part of a global innovation leader in the elevator and escalator industry. You’ll contribute to technical planning, product engineering, and lifecycle support for elevator and escalator systems in both standard and custom-build scenarios.

Who Can Apply

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering

- Recent graduates from recognized institutions

- Strong interest in product engineering, elevator/escalator technology, and modernization projects

---

Key Responsibilities

Customer-Focused Engineering

- Identify the optimal KONE product for non-standard and modernization cases

- Work closely with Sales to convert customer needs into product-specific plans

- Plan detailed, custom product specifications

Costing & Planning

- Coordinate with supply chain, installation, and maintenance to evaluate total product cost

- Perform energy calculations and traffic analyses

- Ensure feasibility in installation, compliance, and maintenance

Technical Documentation & Support

- Create technical layouts, drawings, and installation plans

- Support Project Managers, Installation, and Maintenance Supervisors with technical content

- Define custom technical solutions using CAD, BIM tools

Process Involvement

- Contribute to tender and contract reviews

- Assist in non-standard engineering from technical surveys to final delivery

- Collaborate with Supply Line and Engineering Policy teams to ensure product compliance

Skills & Competencies

- Basic understanding of CAD, BIM, and technical drawings

- Awareness of environmental and sustainability regulations

- Knowledge of elevator systems, autowalks, and modernization requirements

- Strong analytical, collaboration, and communication skills

- Familiarity with local norms, codes, and safety regulations
