Job Overview

Karix is hiring a System Engineer to manage, support, and automate enterprise-scale systems and infrastructure. This role focuses on Linux system administration, production support, automation, scripting, and troubleshooting in a high-availability environment. The ideal candidate will work closely with internal teams and customers to ensure secure, scalable, and reliable IT operations.

Job Scope

The System Engineer will be responsible for:

- Deploying product updates and production fixes

- Identifying and resolving system and application issues

- Implementing customer and internal integrations

- Automating operational processes for accuracy, speed, and security

- Supporting Karix products in a 24×7 production environment

---

Key Responsibilities

- Implement integrations requested by internal teams and customers

- Provide Level 2 technical support for internal operational teams

- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production incidents

- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for system and application failures

- Deploy patches, updates, and fixes across environments

- Build automation tools to reduce operational errors

- Develop scripts for automation and system visualization

- Design and document troubleshooting and maintenance procedures

- Support 24×7 shifts with flexibility in working hours

Technical Skills Required

- Strong hands-on experience in Linux Administration and Troubleshooting

- Knowledge of ITIL fundamentals

- Scripting experience with Shell Scripting, Python, Perl

- Exposure to VMware virtualization

- Experience with Cron scheduling, backups, LVM

- Basic knowledge of Java, C++, Ansible

- Familiarity with Nginx, Apache, Tomcat

- Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, VPN, Routing

- Understanding of UAT, DC, DR environments

- Awareness of VAPT, SCD, SCR, SAN Storage

- Database basics: MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB, Redis

- Backup & restore concepts including Commvault

- Package installation, patch management, and system upgrades

- Knowledge of high-availability and always-on IT operations

Preferred Skills

- Automation and infrastructure scripting experience

- Exposure to enterprise IT environments

- Experience in production support and on-call rotations

- Ability to work in fast-paced, mission-critical systems
