About the Role – Software Developer Intern (DevOps)

As a DevOps Intern at INVIDI, you will support our agile product development team in managing, deploying, and optimizing high-performance backend services. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in cloud computing, Kubernetes, and distributed systems while contributing to a platform that processes tens of thousands of requests per second with sub-second response times.

You will work with Java, Kotlin, Kafka, Google Cloud (GKE, Pub/Sub), BigTable, Terraform, Jsonnet, and more — gaining exposure to cutting-edge technologies in cloud infrastructure and DevOps automation.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain, deploy, and operate scalable backend services in Java and Kotlin.

- Evolve and optimize CI/CD pipelines and artifact generation.

- Manage and maintain Kubernetes clusters and cloud infrastructure.

- Troubleshoot technical issues from support teams and clients.

- Collaborate with engineers and product owners to deliver robust solutions.

- Mentor and support peers through code reviews, pairing, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

- Education: B.Tech / B.E. in Computer Science (or equivalent).

- Skills: Strong development and troubleshooting capabilities.

- Knowledge of:

- Linux environments

- Agile methodologies

- SaaS operations

- Communication: Strong verbal and written English skills.

- Mindset: Curious, collaborative, and eager to learn.

Highly Preferred Skills

- Hands-on with Dropwizard/Spring Boot.

- Cloud experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) / AWS.

- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).

- Knowledge of SQL, Kafka, Kafka Streams.

- Experience with Docker, Gradle/Maven, Git, Bitbucket, CI/CD pipelines.
