Job Overview – Software Engineer 1

This role is ideal for entry-level software engineers with 0–2 years of experience who want to build scalable, cloud-native applications in a global FinTech SaaS environment.

As part of the CG-PD Full-Stack Engineering Team, you will help Intuit achieve its mission to “Do the Nation’s Taxes” by delivering modern, mobile-first, AI-enabled consumer tax solutions for the US and Canadian markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality web or mobile applications

• Spend 80–95% of time on hands-on coding in production-grade systems

• Write clean, scalable, and maintainable full-stack code

• Participate in peer code reviews, design reviews, and estimation discussions

• Resolve defects across QA, staging, production, and post-release environments

• Collaborate with Product Managers, QA/QE, UX, and cross-functional teams

• Contribute to Agile ceremonies (Sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives)

• Apply engineering best practices for performance, security, and reliability

• Continuously improve technical skills in cloud, AI, and modern frameworks

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

• Strong foundation in object-oriented programming and data structures

• Academic, internship, or project experience in:

– Java, Python, JavaScript, C++, or similar languages

• Understanding of Agile / Scrum / Extreme Programming methodologies

• Basic experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and modern UI frameworks

• Awareness of AI & Generative AI concepts (ChatGPT, LLMs, automation tools)

• Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills

• Willingness to learn new tools, cloud platforms, and emerging technologies
