Job Overview

Ignitarium is looking for skilled Embedded Software & Linux Kernel Engineers to design, develop, test, and debug software on embedded and Linux-based platforms. This role offers exposure to low-level programming, kernel development, device drivers, RTOS, and silicon validation, working on real-world hardware-driven projects.

Required Skills & Technical Knowledge

---

Core Programming

- Strong programming skills in C and/or C++

- Solid understanding of low-level system programming

---

Microcontroller & Firmware Development

- Microcontroller-based firmware development

- Implement software using hardware / software / protocol reference manuals

- Knowledge of:

- RTOS concepts

- Microprocessors & interrupts

- Assembly instructions

- Startup code & memory mapping

---

Linux Kernel & Device Driver Development

- Hands-on experience in:

- Linux kernel setup and BSP build environments

- Writing Linux kernel space code

- Strong understanding of:

- Kernel build systems

- Linux Device Driver Development

- Common kernel APIs and functions

Linux User Space Development

- Experience developing multi-process Linux applications

- Knowledge of:

- Inter-process communication (IPC)

- Process synchronization

- File I/O APIs

- Memory management

- Process management & signal handling

---

Silicon Validation (Good to Have)

- Deriving test cases from hardware specifications

- Developing validation software

- Debugging hardware using:

- Lab bench setups

- FPGA platforms

- Simulation environments

---

Roles & Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and debug:

- Device drivers

- Embedded applications

- Linux-based software

- Validate hardware functionality using custom software tools

- Debug embedded systems and low-level software issues

- Work closely with hardware, platform, and system teams
