Role: Associate DevOps Engineer

- Location: Sydney, Australia

- Type: Full-time

- Experience Level: Junior / Entry Level

We’re looking for a proactive and collaborative Associate DevOps Engineer to support the development, deployment, and maintenance of scalable, secure, and reliable pipelines. You’ll gain hands-on experience in automation, CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, and container orchestration, while working alongside high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Support setup and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).

- Collaborate with developers, QA, and platform teams to resolve deployment issues.

- Assist in environment provisioning and configuration.

- Maintain DevOps toolchains (CI servers, artifact repositories, monitoring dashboards).

- Troubleshoot deployment issues and ensure smooth release cycles.

- Document and maintain runbooks, SOPs, and wikis.

- Contribute to secure practices including secrets management & access controls.

- Participate in Docker & Kubernetes orchestration (desirable).

- Apply patches and updates in collaboration with senior DevOps engineers.

Requirements

- Basic knowledge of DevOps principles & Agile practices.

- Proficient in Git (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket).

- Hands-on with CI/CD tools.

- Scripting skills (Bash, PowerShell, Python).

- Exposure to IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).

- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Introductory knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes preferred.

- Awareness of monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, ELK, Splunk).

- Strong problem-solving, collaborative mindset, and eagerness to learn.
