Job Summary

Synopsys is seeking an R&D DevOps Engineer to design, automate, and maintain software build systems used in engineering product development. Key Responsibilities

- Perform DevOps activities including maintenance, monitoring, documentation, and testing of software builds.

- Configure and maintain tools for generating, deploying, and monitoring builds on Windows and Linux platforms.

- Develop, implement, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines.

- Investigate, debug, and resolve build failures in development, testing, and production environments.

- Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, and QA teams to enhance build systems.

- Track metrics and alarms to ensure system reliability and performance.

- Execute acceptance tests to verify build quality and stability.

Minimum Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

- 1–3 years of DevOps experience.

- Experience building C/C++ applications on Linux or Windows.

- Knowledge of build systems such as CMake and SCons.

- Experience with programming languages: C/C++, C#, Fortran, Java.

- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Visual Studio, Intel/GNU compilers.

- Scripting experience: Python, JavaScript, Batch, Linux Shell.

- Experience working with YAML pipeline configuration.

- Strong proficiency with Git version control.

- Experience using Azure DevOps for repositories, pipelines, and build agents.

- Strong debugging, automation, and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

- Experience with open-source tools, compilers, and packaging systems.

- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.

- Familiarity with Conan, NuGet, or other dependency managers.

- Experience with Docker, virtual machines, or Kubernetes.
