They are currently hiring a Junior DevOps Engineer to join their dynamic team.

Role Details

Position: Junior DevOps Engineer

Location: Columbia, Maryland, USA (Hybrid – 2–3 days onsite)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Experience: 0–2+ Years (or relevant experience/education)

Salary Range: $90,166 – $120,000

Key Responsibilities

- Support development and deployment of AWS cloud infrastructure (EKS, EC2, S3, etc.)

- Automate deployment processes and improve system reliability and scalability

- Manage and maintain Kubernetes containers and cloud environments

- Collaborate with development teams for application integration

- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues

- Continuously improve DevOps tools, processes, and performance

Technical Skills Required

Cloud & DevOps

- Strong experience with AWS services (EKS, EC2, S3, Lambda)

- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation

Containers & Infrastructure

- Hands-on with Kubernetes and container orchestration

- Experience with Terraform and Ansible (IaC & configuration management)

Systems & Scripting

- Strong knowledge of Linux system administration

- Programming/scripting in Python, Bash, or Go

Tools & Methodologies

- Familiarity with Git, Flux, and Agile methodologies

Eligibility Criteria

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Engineering or related field

- 0–2+ years of DevOps or software development experience

- U.S. Citizenship required (Security clearance will be processed)

- Certification like Security+ (DoD 8570) required or to be obtained within 30 days

Preferred Skills

- Experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Elasticsearch, etc.)

- Familiarity with additional AWS services (SNS, SQS, CLI tools)

- Exposure to distributed systems and large-scale infrastructure

- Excellent communication (written & verbal)

- Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment

- Continuous learning mindset
