Job Overview

Global Payments is hiring an Associate Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) for its Pune office. This full-time position is ideal for professionals with 2–4 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Testing Automation, Cloud Infrastructure, and IT Operations.

You will work closely with Development, QA, Production Support, and Infrastructure teams to improve platform reliability, automate operational processes, enhance monitoring, and support enterprise cloud environments. This role offers exposure to modern DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms, monitoring tools, automation frameworks, and infrastructure support.

Key Responsibilities

- Support Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) initiatives across enterprise applications.

- Work with DevOps teams to improve software delivery and operational excellence.

- Contribute to automation projects that reduce manual operational effort.

- Support testing automation, deployment automation, and cloud operations.

- Troubleshoot application failures, infrastructure issues, and failed test executions within SLA.

- Participate in on-call rotations, production support, and shift-based operations.

- Work with Development and Production Support teams to improve service reliability.

- Develop and maintain automated testing utilities, frameworks, and validation tools.

- Create and execute functional, integration, API, TDD, and BDD test cases.

- Perform post-deployment validation and production health checks.

- Monitor cloud infrastructure and improve system availability.

- Support server patching activities and infrastructure maintenance.

- Recommend automation opportunities across enterprise applications.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, QA engineers, and operations teams.

- Maintain documentation, operational procedures, and automation scripts.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.

- 2–4 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Testing Automation, Cloud Operations, or Infrastructure Support.

- Good understanding of SRE principles and ITIL processes.

- Experience with cloud platforms.

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work in rotational shifts and weekend on-call support.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
