Position: Linux Automation Intern

Location: San Antonio, Texas (On-site)

Employment Type: Internship (Full-Time)

Stipend / Salary

- $32/hour (USD)

Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate with engineering teams on software and systems integration projects

- Automate tasks and workflows in Linux environments

- Assist in scripting, troubleshooting, and system optimization

- Work on automation frameworks and DevOps tools

- Support SAFe-based project delivery and agile workflows

- Debug and resolve system-level issues

- Contribute to technical documentation and process improvements

Technical Skills Required

Linux & Automation

- Strong understanding of Linux/Unix systems

- Interest in automation and scripting

- Hands-on or academic exposure to Python / Bash scripting

DevOps & Tools

- Familiarity with tools like Ansible, Puppet, Jenkins, OpenQA

- Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows

- Knowledge of system integration concepts

Core Engineering Skills

- Problem-solving and troubleshooting mindset

- Attention to detail and debugging skills

- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment

Eligibility Criteria

- Currently enrolled in Computer Science / IT / Engineering (or related field)

- Preferred: Sophomore or higher academic standing

- Strong interest in Linux, automation, and DevOps practices

- Must be a U.S. Citizen

- Experience with automation tools and frameworks

- Exposure to DevOps, scripting, or infrastructure automation

- Interest in defense, cybersecurity, or mission-critical systems
