About the Job

Red Hat’s Customer Experience & Engagement (CEE) team is hiring Software Engineering Trainees for the Business Intelligence (BI) team in Pune, India. This role focuses on building and supporting internal tools and software products in a strong open-source culture.

As a Red Hat Trainee, you will code, test, and debug features using Python and Golang, collaborate with mentors and cross-functional teams, and contribute to high-quality, automated, and scalable solutions. Red Hat promotes ethical and effective use of AI to improve productivity and innovation.

What Will You Do?

- Development: Implement features, fix bugs, and write clean, maintainable code

- Testing & Quality: Develop unit and integration tests, contribute to automation, and ensure product quality

- Collaboration: Work with mentors, senior engineers, QE, Product, Documentation teams, and open-source communities

- Automation: Build and maintain automated test suites and CI/CD pipelines

- Platform & Infrastructure: Work with Kubernetes/OpenShift and/or Linux fundamentals (storage, networking, etc.)

- Learning: Learn new technologies such as AI/ML, containers, and cloud while adopting Red Hat’s open-source approach

What Will You Bring?

- Graduation within the last year (2025 batch)

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Computer Science / IT / AI / ML)

- Programming knowledge in Python, Golang (or similar), JavaScript

- Familiarity with JS frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue

- Knowledge of databases such as MySQL/PostgreSQL and MongoDB

- Familiarity with Linux, containers, and CI/CD pipelines

- Experience or exposure to Agile tools (Jira), SonarQube, code reviews, debugging, logging, and observability tools

- Willingness to work in an open, collaborative, inclusive environment focused on customer experience

- Red Hat certifications (RHCSA, RHCE, OpenShift DO180/DO280) are a plus

Salary / Stipend (Expected – Industry Standard)

- ₹6 – ₹9 LPA (CTC) for Trainee / Entry-level Software Engineers at Red Hat in India
