Fortuna Entertainment Group (FEG) is looking for a Junior DevOps Engineer to join its technology team in Hyderabad, India. This role focuses on monitoring data pipelines, supporting business reporting operations, managing production incidents, and ensuring the reliable day-to-day operation of the BI and data platform.

You will work closely with Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, and other technical teams to monitor Azure-based data workloads, troubleshoot pipeline issues, support incident resolution, and help improve operational processes.

Key Responsibilities

Data Pipeline & Platform Monitoring

- Monitor Azure Data Factory pipelines and Databricks jobs to ensure successful execution of daily workloads.

- Identify pipeline failures, delays, and operational issues.

- Perform initial troubleshooting and investigate common pipeline problems.

- Monitor data processing activities and escalate issues when required.

- Help ensure reliable and timely execution of business-critical data workloads.

Business Report Delivery & SLA Management

- Monitor the generation and delivery of business reports.

- Ensure reports are delivered accurately and within agreed timelines.

- Track reporting SLAs and identify potential delays proactively.

- Communicate report delivery issues and operational risks to relevant stakeholders.

Incident Management & Troubleshooting

- Support the management of production incidents affecting data and BI operations.

- Perform initial root-cause analysis for pipeline, reporting, and platform issues.

- Coordinate with Data Engineering, BI, and other technical teams to resolve incidents.

- Track incidents through resolution and ensure proper closure.

- Maintain clear documentation of operational issues and resolutions.

Stakeholder Communication

- Communicate pipeline failures, incidents, report delays, and operational status clearly.

- Coordinate with technical teams to ensure timely resolution of production issues.

- Provide relevant updates to stakeholders during incidents and service disruptions.

- Work collaboratively with international teams and different business departments.

Operational Support & Continuous Improvement

- Follow established operational procedures for BI and data platform support.

- Maintain monitoring, incident, and operational documentation.

- Identify recurring operational problems and suggest improvements.

- Support automation initiatives that can reduce manual operational activities.

- Contribute to improving the reliability, efficiency, and stability of BI platform operations.

Requirements

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.

- 0–2 years of experience in DevOps, Data Operations, BI Operations, Production Support, or a related technical role.

- Strong understanding of Azure Data Factory.

- Good knowledge of SQL and data engineering concepts.

- Basic understanding of data warehousing concepts.

- Understanding of ETL and ELT processes.

- Basic knowledge of data pipeline monitoring and troubleshooting.

- Ability to analyze technical issues and perform initial root-cause investigation.

- Good communication and stakeholder coordination skills.

- English language proficiency at least at B2 level.
