Position Overview

Emerson is hiring a Graduate Trainee Engineer – Electrical to join its Application Engineering Team in Pune. This role is ideal for recent electrical engineering graduates who are eager to apply academic knowledge in real-world engineering projects focused on low voltage control panels and North American electrical standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Understand and participate in panel application engineering activities.

- Collaborate with senior engineers to interpret project specs and customer needs.

- Assist in the design and customization of low voltage electrical control panels.

- Learn and apply North American electrical standards including:

- Ampacity calculations

- Wire bending space requirements

- Electrical component selection

- Generate electrical schematics and customer drawings using AutoCAD.

- Create manufacturing packages and Bill of Materials (BOM) using Oracle.

- Support troubleshooting and problem-solving for panel board designs.

- Participate in ETO (Engineered to Order) panel executions.

- Maintain proactive internal communication with business units.

- Stay current with industry advancements in electrical panel design.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- BE/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (Final-year or recent graduates from 2024 or 2025 batch).

- Strong academic foundation in electrical systems, schematics, and engineering principles.

- Familiarity with AutoCAD or other electrical design tools.

- Interest in North American Electrical Standards (NEC/NFPA).

- Basic understanding of BOM creation, Oracle ERP is a plus.

- Excellent communication, analytical, and collaboration skills.

- Willingness to work in a hybrid setup in Pune, India.
