Key Responsibilities

- Administer and maintain Linux servers (Ubuntu Pro or RHEL-based) for production and staging environments

- Configure and secure SFTP, SAMBA, and NFS services for enterprise data workflows

- Install, optimize, and manage Apache Tomcat and Nginx for high-performance application hosting

- Perform OS hardening, patch management, and automate tasks using scripting or configuration tools

- Manage user accounts, file permissions, firewalls, and system logs

- Monitor system processes, troubleshoot infrastructure issues, and ensure high availability

- Optimize performance and secure infrastructure following industry best practices

Required Skills

- Strong expertise in Linux system administration (RHEL / CentOS / Ubuntu Pro)

- Hands-on with SFTP, SAMBA, and NFS configuration and security

- Experience with Tomcat (server.xml tuning, WAR deployments) and Nginx (reverse proxy, SSL, load balancing)

- Knowledge of systemd, networking (iptables, netplan), and filesystem management

- Ability to troubleshoot performance and connectivity issues across infrastructure layers

Cloud & DevOps (AWS)

- EC2 provisioning, SSH access, and EBS volume management

- VPC setup: subnets, route tables, NAT gateways, and security groups

- ELB configuration (ALB/NLB)

- IAM roles, policies, and cross-account access

- S3 bucket management, lifecycle policies, and security

- EFS setup and mount configuration

- Route 53 DNS troubleshooting and domain configurations

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with automation tools: Bash, Ansible, Terraform

- Exposure to monitoring stacks: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch

Certifications (Preferred)

- RHCSA / RHCE

- AWS SysOps Administrator / AWS Solutions Architect – Associate
