Job Role – Cloud Operations Engineer

As a Cloud Operations Engineer, you will manage and optimize DigitalOcean’s global cloud infrastructure, ensuring high uptime, scalability, and system performance. You will troubleshoot complex issues, automate processes, and support AI/ML workloads, Kubernetes, GPU infrastructure, and DevOps pipelines.

This position is based in Hyderabad, India, with hybrid working options and global collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain 99.99% uptime for global cloud systems

- Automate cloud operations and infrastructure monitoring

- Troubleshoot issues in Linux servers, networking, storage, and virtualization

- Deploy and optimize containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)

- Support AI/ML, GPU workloads, and scalable cloud platforms

- Collaborate with USA, UK, and global engineering teams to resolve incidents

- Write and maintain clear DevOps documentation

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of Linux system administration

- Familiarity with virtualization & cloud platforms

- Hands-on with Docker, Kubernetes, container orchestration

- Networking fundamentals – IPv4, CCNA-level troubleshooting

- Experience with storage systems, cloud monitoring tools, and IT automation

- Proficiency in Bash, Python, or Go scripting

- Exposure to AI/ML, GPU infrastructure, and cloud computing

- Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills
