Dash Technologies Inc. is seeking a motivated Junior DevOps Engineer to support cloud infrastructure, deployment automation, and application operations. This role offers an opportunity to develop practical experience with Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and cloud security while collaborating with senior engineers, developers, and QA teams.

About the Role

The Junior DevOps Engineer will assist with cloud infrastructure management, continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD), application deployments, monitoring, and troubleshooting across Azure and AWS environments.

This position is suitable for early-career professionals with strong technical fundamentals and practical exposure to at least one cloud platform. Candidates are not expected to have advanced expertise in both Azure and AWS; familiarity with one platform and a willingness to learn the other are essential.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in provisioning, configuring, and maintaining cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure and AWS.

- Create, maintain, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.

- Support application builds and deployments across development, QA, UAT, and production environments.

- Manage source code repositories, branching strategies, and pull requests using Git and GitHub.

- Assist with deploying and managing containerized applications using Docker.

- Monitor cloud resources, application performance, logs, and alerts.

- Troubleshoot deployment failures, infrastructure issues, and network connectivity problems.

- Follow cloud security best practices for identity and access management, secrets, and resource configurations.

- Maintain infrastructure documentation, deployment procedures, and operational checklists.

- Collaborate with developers and QA teams to resolve deployment-related issues.

- Follow change management, backup, and release management procedures.

- Communicate task progress, technical blockers, and issue resolutions to the team.

- Continuously improve knowledge of cloud technologies, automation, and deployment practices.

Required Technical Skills

- Cloud Computing: Basic understanding of Microsoft Azure and AWS.

- Azure Services: Familiarity with Azure App Service, Storage Accounts, and Virtual Machines.

- AWS Services: Basic knowledge of Amazon EC2, S3, and IAM.

- CI/CD: Understanding of Azure DevOps pipelines or GitHub Actions.

- Version Control: Working knowledge of Git, GitHub, branching, and pull requests.

- Linux: Basic Linux commands and operating system fundamentals.

- Networking: Understanding of DNS, IP addresses, ports, HTTP/HTTPS, and firewalls.

- Scripting: Basic knowledge of YAML and Bash or PowerShell scripting.

- Containers: Fundamental understanding of Docker and containerization.

- Troubleshooting: Basic problem-solving and analytical skills.

Good-to-Have Skills

- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.

- Basic Kubernetes knowledge.

- Azure Key Vault, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and Managed Identity.

- AWS IAM, VPC, Security Groups, and Secrets Manager.

- Monitoring and logging using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Amazon CloudWatch, and AWS CloudTrail.

- Fundamentals of AWS ECR, ECS, EKS, CodeBuild, and CodePipeline.

- Code quality tools such as SonarCloud or SonarQube.

- Python scripting and automation.

- Cloud security, backup, disaster recovery, and cost optimization.

- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and Agile methodologies.

Educational Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

- Relevant internships, technical training, academic projects, or hands-on cloud deployment experience are preferred.

- Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) or AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification is an advantage but not mandatory.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- 0–2 years of experience in DevOps, cloud computing, system administration, or a related technical role.

- Practical exposure to at least one cloud platform.

- Understanding of CI/CD, source control, automation, and deployment workflows.

- Ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues and document solutions.

- Strong communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills.

- Proactive attitude and willingness to learn new tools and technologies.
