About the Role

The Linux System Administrator will play a key role in managing and maintaining the organization’s IT infrastructure. This is an individual contributor role, responsible for troubleshooting system & network issues, handling day-to-day employee queries, and collaborating with external vendors for communication systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, configure, test, and maintain servers, VMware, and networking equipment.

- Monitor scheduled jobs for accuracy, completeness, and errors.

- Perform data backups and implement security procedures.

- Apply firmware & security updates on servers, printers, and network devices.

- Configure and manage LDAP & Microsoft Active Directory.

- Implement and maintain IPS/IDS, Firewall, Anti-Virus, Anti-Spam, and Anti-Malware solutions.

- Manage VoIP, Unified Communications, and related platforms.

- Maintain redundancy systems and support risk remediation efforts.

- Create automation scripts for common tasks.

- Assist in software upgrades & installations.

- Provide IT support to operational staff.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of Linux administration.

- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Bash, Python, Perl).

- Solid understanding of LAN/WAN networking.

- Familiarity with system security best practices.

- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
