Role Overview – GenC Engineer

As a GenC Engineer, you will work on real-world enterprise software projects, contributing to application development, testing, deployment, and support across multiple technologies. This role offers strong exposure to SDLC, Agile methodologies, cloud platforms, and modern IT systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Understand business requirements and create functional & technical documentation

- Develop, test, debug, and deploy software applications as per specifications

- Analyze data requirements and create test scenarios

- Work in an Agile software development environment

- Follow SDLC best practices for enterprise IT projects

- Create low-level design (LLD) for application components

- Identify risks, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines

- Participate in project meetings and technical discussions

- Deliver high-quality, cost-effective, and scalable IT solutions

- Continuously upskill in new technologies, cloud, data, and digital tools

- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineering teams

Eligibility Criteria

- 2024 & 2025 batch B.E / B.Tech / M.E / M.Tech graduates

- Eligible engineering streams only

*(Leather Technology, Food Technology, Fashion Technology, etc. are excluded)*

- Minimum 60% throughout academics (X, XII, Diploma, UG, PG – no rounding off)

- No standing arrears at the time of joining

- Must maintain minimum 60% aggregate in the pursuing degree

- Open to Indian Nationals / OCI candidates residing in India

- Willingness to work from any Cognizant office location and shift

- Strong communication skills and teamwork mindset
