Job Summary

Provenir is seeking a Cloud Operations Engineer with 3–5 years of experience to support mission-critical Java applications, AWS cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes environments, and production operations. This role is ideal for professionals with expertise in Cloud Operations, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), AWS, Kubernetes, Linux Administration, Production Support, Monitoring, Incident Management, and Cloud Automation.

You will investigate production issues, optimize cloud performance, improve platform reliability, automate operational tasks, and collaborate with engineering teams to ensure highly available and secure enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Investigate and resolve production issues across Java applications and AWS infrastructure.

- Analyze application logs, JVM metrics, and system performance to identify root causes.

- Monitor cloud platforms using Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Splunk, and CloudWatch.

- Support Kubernetes clusters, deployments, pods, and containerized workloads.

- Develop automation scripts to reduce manual operational tasks.

- Participate in incident, problem, and change management following ITIL best practices.

- Create and maintain runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and operational documentation.

- Participate in 24x7 on-call production support rotation.

- Collaborate with DevOps, Cloud Engineering, and development teams to improve platform reliability.

- Continuously optimize cloud infrastructure performance, availability, and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

- 3–5 years of experience in Cloud Operations, DevOps, Production Support, or Site Reliability Engineering.

- Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).

- Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.

- Experience supporting Java applications in production environments.

- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

- Willingness to participate in rotational on-call support.
