JOB OVERVIEW:

Calix is hiring Graduate Trainees for its Bangalore location. This role is ideal for fresh graduates who want hands-on experience working on large-scale systems, networking software, automation, and testing. You will collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and gain real-world exposure across the complete software development life cycle.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Participate in all phases of SDLC including requirement analysis, design reviews, testing, and defect management

- Write and execute test cases, test plans, and automation scripts

- Support QA activities including functional testing and end-to-end testing

- Add and enhance features in existing automation frameworks

- Create and maintain technical and testing documentation

- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve product quality and reliability

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, ECE, EEE or related fields

- Graduated in 2023 or 2024

- Knowledge of Linux and x86 virtualization

- Programming knowledge in Java, C, C++ or Python

- Understanding of networking protocols: TCP, UDP, IP, VLAN, DHCP, DNS, NTP

- Understanding of OSI / TCP-IP models

- Knowledge of data structures, OOP concepts, and unit testing principles

- Familiarity with Git, Wireshark, tcpdump

- Good communication and analytical skills

GOOD TO HAVE SKILLS:

- Automation tools like Robot Framework or PyTest

- Multi-threading or multi-process programming exposure

- Basic understanding of networking and telecom systems
