JOB OVERVIEW:

Cadence is hiring Interns – CST for its Bangalore location. This role is ideal for Electronics Engineering students or fresh graduates who want hands-on exposure to analog and digital design flows, custom IC design methodologies, and industry-standard EDA tools. You will work in a Linux-based environment and collaborate with experienced engineers on real semiconductor design challenges.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Work with analog and digital design flows

- Support schematic design, layout, simulation, and physical verification tasks

- Use industry-standard EDA tools for design and verification

- Assist in debugging DRC, LVS, and RC extraction issues

- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams

- Follow best practices in custom analog design methodology

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Electronics or equivalent

- Working knowledge of Cadence Virtuoso tool suite

- Schematic

- Layout

- Analog Design Environment

- Basic understanding of analog/digital IC design flows

- Familiarity with simulation, layout, and physical verification

- Understanding of foundry PDKs is a strong plus

- Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as:

- Python

- SKILL

- Perl

- TCL

- CShell

- Comfortable working in a Linux environment

- Exposure to compute grid systems like LSF, SGE, or Slurm is an advantage

- Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
