About the Role

As a Software Engineer at bp, you will join a cross-functional team of experts in engineering, AI/ML, product management, and delivery. You will help build, maintain, and improve business-critical applications for bp’s Production & Operations division.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, build, and maintain scalable and secure technology features

- Ensure availability and reliability of software services

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in collaboration with platform and service teams

- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team growth

- Document software designs and operational procedures

---

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

- B.E / B.Tech / B.Sc in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field

Experience:

- Freshers eligible (recent graduates)

Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

- Proficient in at least one of: C#, Python, TypeScript

- Strong in secure, testable, and maintainable coding practices

- Understanding of full SDLC: version control, CI/CD, code reviews, deployments, and operations

- Experience with Microsoft Azure: identity platforms, networking, databases, containers, serverless

- Familiarity with distributed systems and application scaling

Database Knowledge

- Relational, document, graph, and key-value databases

- Data modeling and SQL

Infrastructure Skills

- Azure services, monitoring, and cloud-native infrastructure design

Soft Skills

- Strong communication (written and verbal)

- Analytical and problem-solving mindset

- Adaptable and self-driven

- Team player with leadership potential

- Comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty

Preferred Skills (Bonus but Not Mandatory)

- Passion for mentoring and coaching

- Familiarity with privacy/security best practices

- Experience in supporting production systems, on-call rotations
