Role Overview

This role supports the deployment, automation, and maintenance of both cloud and on-premise systems using tools like AWS, Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes. The Junior DevOps Engineer contributes to CI/CD pipeline management, system monitoring, and secure infrastructure practices while collaborating closely with developers and cross-functional teams. A strong foundation in scripting, networking, and modern DevOps methodologies is key to succeeding in this fast-paced, agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Provision, manage, and automate AWS infrastructure and on-premise environments using Terraform, AWS CDK, and CloudFormation

- Maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket Pipelines, Docker, and Helmfile

- Support and administer Windows Server and Linux systems

- Deploy and manage web applications on IIS and containerized environments

- Set up monitoring and observability with Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and Grafana Loki

- Write and maintain PowerShell and Python automation scripts

- Assist in backup/disaster recovery using Velero, including PVC syncing

- Implement GitOps workflows with Helm, Helmfile, and Git

- Troubleshoot networking issues, including VPN (IPSec), DNS, HAProxy, and firewalls (pfSense)

- Secure infrastructure via IAM policies, RBAC, and secrets management (AWS Secrets Manager, Kubernetes Secrets)

- Collaborate with developers working in C#, Python, Angular, and PowerShell

- Document infrastructure and SOPs using Markdown and contribute in Agile sprint cycles
