Role Details

Position: Junior DevOps Engineer

Location: Chennai / Bangalore

Role Summary

This role involves supporting development and operations teams in managing application deployments across multiple environments (Dev, Test, UAT, DR, Production) while gaining hands-on experience in CI/CD, cloud, and automation.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in maintaining CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments

- Support environment setup and configuration management

- Troubleshoot basic infrastructure and deployment issues

- Manage AWS resources and IAM configurations

- Follow Git workflows (Bitbucket)

- Document deployment processes and operational procedures

- Collaborate with developers, QA, and operations teams

Technical Skills Required

Cloud & Infrastructure

- Knowledge of AWS services (EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, ALB/NLB)

- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / OpenTofu)

DevOps & CI/CD

- Exposure to CI/CD tools (Bitbucket Pipelines, Harness, ArgoCD)

- Understanding of Docker and Kubernetes

Monitoring & Tools

- Familiarity with CloudWatch, Dynatrace

- Exposure to Artifactory or similar repositories

- Basic knowledge of SonarQube or Checkmarx

Systems & Scripting

- Experience with Linux environments and shell scripting

- Basic understanding of applications built in Java / .NET / Python

Eligibility Criteria

- 0–2 years of experience in DevOps / Cloud / related roles

- Hands-on exposure (projects/internships) in AWS, CI/CD, IaC

- Understanding of containerization concepts (Docker/Kubernetes)

- Good communication skills

Nice to Have

- Exposure to ArgoCD, Rancher, or GitOps practices

- Basic scripting knowledge (Python, Bash, PowerShell)

- Understanding of AWS networking concepts
