Position: Cloud Engineer Intern – Databases

Location: Greensboro, North Carolina, USA

Employment Type: Full-time Internship

Work Mode: On-site

Shift: 08:00 AM – 05:00 PM EST

Key Responsibilities

Database Support & Learning

- Assist in managing MSSQL and PostgreSQL databases

- Support installation, configuration, and maintenance tasks

- Work with tables, views, and stored procedures

- Help monitor and verify database backups

- Analyze queries and identify performance issues

Kubernetes & Cloud

- Gain exposure to Kubernetes clusters and containerized environments

- Monitor pods, logs, and resource usage

- Learn about StatefulSets, PersistentVolumes, ConfigMaps

- Support basic kubectl operations and configurations

AI Tools & Applications

- Work with AI-powered tools for query optimization and monitoring

- Explore AI/ML integrations for performance insights

- Assist in prototyping AI-driven automation solutions

Security & Access Control

- Learn user roles, permissions, and access management

- Support security audits and reviews

Team Collaboration

- Collaborate with developers, DBAs, and system admins

- Participate in team meetings and planning sessions

Technical Skills Required

Databases

- Basic knowledge of MSSQL, PostgreSQL, or MySQL

- Understanding of database schemas and queries

Cloud & Containers

- Familiarity with Kubernetes and containerized environments

Programming & Querying

- Exposure to SQL (T-SQL / PL/pgSQL)

Eligibility Criteria

- Pursuing or recently completed B.Tech / B.E / Computer Science / IT or related field

- Interest in databases, cloud, and DevOps practices
