Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated Site Reliability Engineer (Engineer I) who is passionate about application support, cloud infrastructure, runtime operations, and ensuring the reliability of mission-critical systems. You'll work alongside cross-functional teams to proactively manage performance, troubleshoot issues, and automate DevOps processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide hands-on support for application runtime and production operations.

- Collaborate with software engineering and infrastructure teams to resolve incidents, performance issues, and failures.

- Design and implement monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions.

- Participate in root cause analysis and incident response processes.

- Build automation tools and streamline operational processes using Python, Ansible, or similar scripting tools.

- Assist in the development and performance tuning of highly available enterprise Java applications.

- Work on Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like Git, Maven, and Jenkins.

- Communicate and coordinate effectively across teams and stakeholders.

- Mentor peers and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

- BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.

- Experience or internship in software engineering or infrastructure operations.

- Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).

- Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Datadog) and incident management.

- Familiarity with Java application development and integration via APIs.

- Hands-on with databases: DB2, Postgres, Redis, Couchbase.

- Exposure to relational and NoSQL databases.

- Knowledge of CI/CD tools, DevOps practices, and Agile environments.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

- Experience in high-availability system design.

- Certification in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Google Cloud Engineer).

- Familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles.
